Don't Quiet The Cry ~

Updated: Apr 8, 2022

Do you ever wake up in the morning thinking, "here we go, same ol' same ol' "? Are you finding yourself in a mental space that feels "blah"? Or maybe you look around at your physical space and think, "I am SO sick of this place. I'm over it!" Does your internal dialogue ever ask "is this it? Is this all there is?"

Do you believe you have a choice and the ability to change your situation? Because you do.

The wisdom to create the life you want is literally in your biological make-up. There is scientific evidence connecting the gut/microbiome/Enteric Nervous System to the brain. Some people call it the mind-body connection, foresight, intuition, or gut-instinct. Some call it "The Jam" or "Fuzzy". I've been calling mine "The Flow".

(People often become physically ill when they ignore the information coming from the Enteric Nervous System. If your physical health is important to you, this whole subject matters.)

When you recognise your body's physical response (to pretty much anything), you can support your changes, evolution, and the ability to navigate. You move into a different frequency and connection to yourself that practically forces you into self awareness. So, the power to begin creating your ideal life is already within you, waiting for you to tap in... and feel. When you have these reactions, your physical body is announcing, "IT IS TIME. PLEASE DON'T WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE." Seems simple, right?

When you get these vibes, what it really means, is that it's time to assess.

But evaluating which area to initiate change can be overwhelming. Sometimes it seems like such a huge obstacle, that you simply ignore it. You give up the dream. But that inner voice can get annoying. And noisy! So you try and silence it. Because, if it gets too loud - well - you may be compelled to respond. And then your internal dialogue is back at it. Maybe some panic has set in.

"What is my body telling me?! What does it mean?! Should I overhaul my entire life?! Do I need to leave my relationship?! My job?! RIGHT NOW?!"

Again, you try to stifle that inner voice, and quiet the cry. You find things to occupy your "free" time (this is where numbing comes in - weed, alcohol, zoning out on your phone or tv, etc.). You keep moving forward, pushing through, comfortable in your discomfort.

Still, that nagging intuition is telling you it's time for change; that you've outgrown where you are. But the big picture still feels inconvenient, and staying where you are seems safer. The familiar discomfort is easier than the unknown, isn't it? Tolerating is more manageable than trying to untangle thoughts and figure out what needs to change, right? It is definitely easier than doing the work, right?! This back and forth of "routine and comfort v change and fulfillment" becomes debilitating, and ultimately keeps you from making any shifts.

Or maybe you connect with your intuition, and you believe change is needed... But then you get stuck on "What now? Where do I start? I don't have time for this!" and again, you don't progress.

The answer is uncomplicated.

Commit.

Commit to your present self, and the self you want to become.

I promise you, it is ESSENTIAL to trust and honour your intuition. The built-in, decisive feeling your body assigns to reveal your truth is THE key to your wellness and growth. When you practice recognising your physical feelings and can identify their arrival, you'll expand your ability to initiate change whenever you wish. You will guide yourself toward the life that authentically fills you with gratitude, and a deep sense of joy.

That is the life you are meant to live. Don't quiet the cry. Listen to it, and embrace its purpose.

Warm Wishes Always ~
